Jessica Kabemba is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. She doesn’t know very much about the circumstances that led to her mother, sister, and her to leave the Congo three years ago because she was young. She started singing on her own at home. Both her sister and her mother also sing. She loves singing gospel music both at home and at church. She has written one song already, and is hoping to write more to be performed at church, as well as festivals. When she feels angry or sad, music helps her calm down.
